Asbestos Awareness Training
There is a legal requirement for employers to provide asbestos awareness training for employees who may disturb asbestos during the course of their work. - Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 (CAR)
This requirement also extends to supervisors.
The asbestos awareness training should include instruction and demonstration, and should be given by a competent person.
Courses can be presented at a client’s own premises or at a JB-Monitor preferred venue.
Currently two half-day training courses are offered:
- Module 1 – Basic Asbestos Awareness
- Module 2 - Duty to Manage: Regulation 4 of the CAR.
