Asbestos Surveys Across North Wales
Based in Colwyn Bay, JB Monitor carries out asbestos surveys across North Wales, from Llandudno and Conwy along the coast to Wrexham, Gwynedd and Anglesey. All of our asbestos surveyors hold BOHS qualifications, and every survey is carried out with reference to HSG264, the HSE's guide to asbestos surveys. Our asbestos surveying is UKAS accredited (0294).
Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys
A management survey is the standard survey for a building in normal use. It locates asbestos that could be disturbed during everyday occupation and maintenance, and helps you meet your duty to manage asbestos under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. A refurbishment survey is needed before any work that disturbs the fabric of a building, such as rewiring, replacing ceilings or removing walls. A demolition survey is needed before a building, or part of one, is taken down.
Asbestos Testing From Our Colwyn Bay Laboratory
Samples taken during our surveys are analysed in our own laboratory in Colwyn Bay, using a method based on the HSE's HSG248 guidance. Our bulk sampling and analysis is UKAS accredited (2075), and results can be turned around in as little as 24 hours by prior arrangement. You can also bring us your own samples for asbestos testing, and we can provide sample bags.
